{"id":30723,"date":"2021-12-03T07:03:19","date_gmt":"2021-12-03T07:03:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teddiezieglerhorsemanship.com\/academy\/course\/marks-journey-11-3\/"},"modified":"2022-10-21T07:28:10","modified_gmt":"2022-10-21T07:28:10","slug":"bo2-03-12","status":"publish","type":"tva_lesson","link":"https:\/\/teddiezieglerhorsemanship.com\/academy\/course\/bo2-03-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark\u2019s Journey \u2013 #11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>How do you Start Over When it\u2019s Been a While?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now that Mark has recovered 90% from his injury and can walk properly and get around, up and down hills, and different terrains again, it\u2019s time to start over. &nbsp;He is still very tentative in moving around and there is a fear associated with a loss of confidence.<\/p>\n<p>The best way for him to start over was to work on his conference of just being around the horses again. &nbsp;So we started with just being in the pasture together and grooming them while at Liberty. &nbsp;That way he could move anywhere he wanted and so could the horses so everything stayed calm and quiet.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019Artagnan loved the attention and was very happy to see Mark back at the barn after a long time. &nbsp;I think he also realized that Mark was fearful and still partially injured. &nbsp;It is still hard for him to move very freely around the uneven ground and he has a fear of falling again so his body is more rigid and slow. &nbsp;You will notice this in the video, but watch how caring D\u2019Artagnan is with him and how careful he is.<\/p>\n<p>You can also see at the end of the video how Mark has changed and become more comfortable and more confident about being around the horses again. &nbsp;It didn\u2019t take long to get comfortable again and bring back the bond quickly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-30723","tva_lesson","type-tva_lesson","status-publish","hentry","tva_courses-bo2","post-wrapper","thrv_wrapper"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/teddiezieglerhorsemanship.com\/academy\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tva_lesson\/30723","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/teddiezieglerhorsemanship.com\/academy\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tva_lesson"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/teddiezieglerhorsemanship.com\/academy\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/tva_lesson"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/teddiezieglerhorsemanship.com\/academy\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=30723"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
