Why your horse might be behaving the way he does sometimes…
What we've all been taught about horses has led you to believe that the problems you’re having are because you are not being firm enough or because you need to train your horse more.
Being firm or using force are outdated concepts which are no longer supported by equine science. And it's not a lack of training either because because the real problem is a lack of trust created by a lack of understanding of how horses naturally behave.
In other words, it is not your fault so don't blame yourself.

How using force actually makes training go SLOWER instead of quicker…
Using force to train comes from a mindset of control and having to correct what the horse is (supposedly) doing wrong.
But any unwanted behavior a horse is displaying is his reaction to the way he is being handled or has been handled in the past which have created fear memories.
By forcing your horse against his will all you are doing is reinforcing these fears and making the situation worse.
Whether it’s fear memories or his natural fight, flight or freeze the result is the same: Non-cooperation, slow to no progress and possible Equine Burnout.

Why cookie-cutter training methods won’t work with a horse that HAs ongoing problems…
When a horse is haunted by fear memories and trauma, they can't be cured using regular training as there is an underlying issue that needs to be dealt with first.
Emotional issues like these require a specialized approach based on your horse's specific needs and the particular situation.
Unless you get to the root of the problem and solve that once and for all, then the situation is likely to continue and will probably get worse.

What happens when you address the ROOT cause of their issue…
When you become more sensitive to what your horse is experiencing and through repeated, pleasant exposures, you prove to him that you are not a danger then he will slowly learn to see you as someone he can trust.
Once he can sense that you understand him and that you will have his back, it will start to build his curiosity and his interest in having a deeper connection with you.
And when he begins to work with you and you allow him to have a voice without punishment, then he will start to see you as one of his herd.

Why Pushing the Easy Button melts any resistance that your horse is giving you…
When you work with your horse rather than against him, not only does training become easier and faster but when your horse feels understood he’s more inclined to connect with you, trust you, and want to be with you.
So take it slowly and look at things from your horse’s perspective. 2 steps forward and 1 step back if necessary. There’s never any need to force performance because slow is easy and easy is fast.
Having a two-way conversation with your horse makes it easier for you to work together in unison and harmony.
