Do you ever get one of those weeks when you feel like you wading through treacle?
Yep, this week had been one of those weeks for me.
Some people imagine that the life of a teacher or ‘guru’ is all wine and roses as that’s the way it is often depicted.
However, regular readers of my weekly email will know me as more of a ‘warts an’ all’ type of gal!
In some ways it was actually a very exciting week for me but more on this in a moment…
So what I mean by wading through treacle is that usually something happens during the course of a week to make me think, “Now, that would make a useful lesson to share with my readers.”
But this week, nothing.
I’ve been doing my usual round of private coaching calls and my “Let’s get know each other and have a horsey chat during this crisis” free calls this week hoping something would pop into my head, but no.
Funny sidebar on these free calls…
I spoke with one lady this week who said to me, “It’s really you, isn’t it Teddie?”
I replied, “Er… yes, who did you expect?”
“Oh, I thought it was some sort of trick and I’d end up being hard-sold to or something.”
Wow.
Has the reputation of the internet sunk so far that no-one believes a word that they read nowadays?
I know our politicians keep hammering on about fake news but here in the horse world I had hoped there was still a level of trust, but apparently not.
That’s a real shame and kinda ironic really because, as you know, I see trust as THE foundation for any relationship – horse or human.
I don’t have a mini-program called ‘Foundation of Trust’ for nothing!
So trust…
Transparency…
Honesty.
Those are the watchwords to live by, don’t you think?
‘Cos weren’t those the values we were taught as kids?
And aren’t those the values we still believe in today?
I know I do.
Which is why they are exactly the values I preach in my coaching and in my programs.
Why?
Well, you might be able to fool some of the people some of the time, but you can never fool your horse.
And it all starts with trust.
So if you haven’t taken me up on this yet, I am still gifting my ‘Foundation of Trust’ program to readers during the lockdown.
An yes, it’s totally free and no catches.
Right, let’s get on to my exciting news for the week!
On Tuesday I had a long conversation with my business partner Mark to discuss plans moving forward.
And…
My whole website is going to get a makeover – my main site, my blog and the member’s area. All sparkly new!
And who doesn’t like new?!
Plus…
Wait for it…
I am even thinking of switching from Polarity Training to Teddie Ziegler Horsemanship.
What do you think?
I’d love to get your feedback on the name change and also the answers to these 2 questions:
1) What attracts you to my approach with horses?
2) Why do you enjoy reading my blogs?
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the Comments below. Thanks!
