What a beautiful story Fiona. I completely understand. That is a very special connection and love. Not many of us get that but when we do, it is something to be cherished.

Thank you so much for this article. I have received the blessing of a soul horse in my life, and it was exactly as you described. Love at first sight and that incredible telepathic connection. We had 26 years of bliss together. Then when she passed, she mended my broken heart with the miraculous gifts she sent me. They were so incredible that I opened up spiritually, and my life has become so much richer and more fulfilling. She made me realise that a soul connection lasts forever and can never be broken.

Wow. What a blog. Do you know, Teddie, I was wondering what would happen when you lost Apollo. I was sure you would start looking for something else when your heart was ready or would be given a rescue horse or something but I wondered what Mark would say. When you mentioned that Mark had been trying to pursuade you not to buy another one I was not surprised. It reminds me of my non horsey husband. How wonderful for the soul tie between Mark and Merlin. Glorious. Interesting that he said he had bought him for you which I am sure you mentioned in a previous blog. What an exciting journey ahead, watching them grow together.

In regards to heart horses, I have owned several over the years. My first little chestnut TB mare was called Redi that I bought when I returned to horse ownership 17 years ago. I sold her when I got pregnant a year later. Was a very difficult decision but I just couldn't financially keep her. And then Chester, another chestnut Tb, a number of years later who I had to re-home after 2 years as he had arthritis and needed to be ridden lightly on the flat. My grazing was on hills. Was heart breaking having to re-home him. I have had other horses in between. My current Chestnut mare, Sahara, I adore. The more I just hang with her and listen to her, the more connecting we do and the more our bond grows. I dont know if I have ever had a soul connection with a horse. That would be quite special indeed.

I love your blogs, Teddie. Have a great weekend. Sarah
